She's a young thing, just barely a year. Pearl owes her luminous sheen to a dilution gene passed on by her father - a palomino. Her mother a brilliant chestnut. Her life is full of promise. I've been fascinated with horses with this coloration. There is a subtle warm color in their coat that is a beautiful compliment to their blue eyes.

Cremelos, palominos and greys. I enjoy painting these horses. Their light coats reflect the sky above and the earth below. Dazzling in the sunshine they glow in the moonlight.
